THE BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE

The Beautification Committee is involved in the revew, budgeting, installation and maintenance of school landscaping, art and other site related projects, while maintaining cohesiveness with the recently established Painting, Landscaping and Mural Projects.

The Beautification Committee mounts annual fundraising solicitation for parent donations, and may also solicit corporate, private and Friends of Coeur d'Alene contributions. Designated funds are maintained by the Friends of Coeur d'Alene treasurer in a separate account for project distribution.

Its membership is open to all interested CdA parents, teachers and staff. People with professional experience in art, landscaping, architecture, design, construction etc. are encouraged to become involved.

Proposals to and from the Beautification Committee and its subcommittees must meet guidelines re:
The Location and Placement of the installation; the Type of Images (Student Generated Artwork); Materials (LAUSD authorized materials (list on file); Budgeting/Funding requirements; Development/Project implementation; Maintenance, Safety and Durability requirements.
