Re-INTRODUCING...Friends of Coeur d'Alene Networking

Guidelines for the Networking email

Send your submission to CDA Networking Coordinator Sherry Currreri at  scurreri@earthlink.net on the  25th of the prior month in order to be included

Many parents who have their own businesses have generously offered to donate a portion of their proceeds from certain events and/or merchandise if Friends of Coeur d'Alene would send out an e-mail publicizing what they are doing.

Due to the volume of these requests,  we have created "Coeur d'Alene  Networking ," and an e-mail will be sent out  once  a month to publicize such events. This way, parents can do their own "fundraisers."

Please read and follow the rules below if you want to participate:

The events/offers listed should be considered  advertisements  and they are NOT official "Friends of Coeur d'Alene" events. Friends of Coeur d'Alene, Coeur d'Alene Elementary School and LAUSD do not endorse or bear responsibility for the entities listed.

Send your submission to CDA Networking Coordinator Sherry Currreri at  scurreri@earthlink.net on the  25th of the prior month in order to be included.  This is the only day submissions will be accepted, as she will compile the list by going through her inbox from the 25 th  only.

The subject line of your submission must read "CDA Networking Request."

When listing an event or merchandise, please make clear what portion of the proceeds would be given to Friends of Coeur d'Alene, and please be accurate in your accounting so that it is fair to parents who may be giving your business a try while making an effort to support the school.

When patronizing a business or event listed please  make it clear that you are from Coeur d'Alene and expect the advertised portion of the proceeds to be donated to Friends of Coeur d'Alene.

These e-mails will be sent out once a month on the first of the month with a subject line that says "Coeur d'Alene Networking ." If you don't want to read these e-mails, just delete without reading.

Please limit yourself to one ad, regardless of how many businesses you want to promote; include all of your information in one post.  Please be as brief and concise as possible,  and tell people where they can go (website, etc.) to get more information.

Please advertise for yourself only.  Advertisements for these "mini-fundraisers" are free so that we can support each other.   Please do not abuse the free advertising by using this as a forum to advertise the businesses of all of your friends.

If your post is too long, the Networking Coordinator reserves the right to cut your copy down, but we'd prefer you to edit yourself, so again, please be brief.

If you are a real estate agent, you cannot post your listings but can let people know the area you work and/or a link to your website and how they can contact you for more information.

You are responsible for making sure your ad is accurate.  Please proofread your own copy to make sure addresses, times and dates are correct before submitting the copy, as we will only be sending this out once a month and will not be sending out corrections.

All requests for advertising posts must be made on the 25th of each month.  Please remember to respect the rules.  If you are out of town or otherwise unable to post your ad, you MUST wait until the following month--no exceptions.

Postings may promote a business, arts program, or event, but cannot be used to voice any opinions or promote any political, religious, or racial issues.

Please make sure to send the donated portion of your proceeds to Friends of Coeur d'Alene as soon as possible after your receive the money. (Friends of CDA has a mailbox in the school office, so it's easy.) Please make a notation that this is a donation from the CDA Networking and give your name and business name.

People who patronize any services listed may feel free to e-mail the Friends of Coeur  d'Alene  Networking Coordinator Sherry Curreri to let her know to expect the money for Friends of CdA. We suggest you follow up by looking at subsequent Friends of Coeur d'Alene Treasury reports to make sure the money that was supposed to be donated was sent in.

If it appears that you are not making the promised donations to the school, you will not be allowed any further postings.

We don't want to police people, but again, everyone's goal should be the same--to ultimately help the school.
