This morning at assembly, our Descendants cast gave us a special moment by performing their closing song for the whole school 💫

After months of hard work and three amazing shows last week, it was so great to see them bring that energy back to campus. We’re so proud of our performers and everything they accomplished 👏

A lot of learning, teamwork, and a few important “principal duties.” Our Principal for a Day, Adam Mauceri, spent time with the principal helping around campus and getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to lead a school.

Ballet Folclórico do Brasil, presented by The Music Center of Los Angeles County, shared vibrant dances and music celebrating Brazil’s rich cultural traditions shaped by African, Portuguese, and Indigenous influences.

💛Congratulations to our champion, Morrison Goodwin, a 2nd grader who spelled his way to the top!

👏 Our runner-up is a 3rd grader, Dante Baccari.

🎉 3rd place goes to Jasmine Chirino, a 5th grader who will proudly represent CDA at the Region West Spelling Bee on February 7!
