Hi CDA Families and Community,

Summer's not over, but your kid's backpack is already side-eyeing you from the closet. Mark these down before August steamrolls us:

Wednesday, August 5: TK/K Meet and Greet, 9 to 11 AM, plus FOCDA Mingle 11:15 to 12

Swing by anytime so you and your Future Owl can meet the teachers and check out their dedicated TK/K yard. After, swing by the Parent Lounge to get a quick presentation from your fellow parents (Friends of CDA).

Bonus round: English Learner families, Miss Mead's got a Master Plan meeting just for you, 11 to 11:30 AM. Same day, VIP agenda.

Monday, August 10: New Family Orientation and TK/K Yard Prep

1 to 2 PM: New Family Orientation. Principal Fang and the FOCDA crew will explain all the acronyms and prep you for life at CDA.

2 to 3 PM: All families (new and returning) are invited to set up the TK/K yard (assemble their learning items and play things!) and prep the game room so it's ready for prime time.

Wednesday, August 12: First day of school

Get there early for vibes, a mascot photo-op, special snack, and our first assembly. Arrive early to catch up with your pals; the good spots go fast and so does the mascot's patience.

Saturday, August 15: Beach Day, 1 to 4 PM

Driftwood Lifeguard Tower, just south of the Venice Pier. Sand, sun, one last taste of freedom before backpacks reclaim your life. BYOeverything.
